Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability in critical installations
This 14-core power cable NKGsżo FE180/PH90 is an advanced solution designed for applications requiring continuous power supply in fire conditions. The cable is designed for installations where reliability and safety are a priority, such as fire protection systems, emergency lighting or power supply for rescue equipment. Its construction ensures maintaining electrical functions for 90 minutes (PH90) in accordance with PN-EN50200 standard, which confirms its exceptional resistance to high temperature and fire.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm². These conductors are insulated with ceramic silicone rubber HXI1, which provides them with high thermal and electrical resistance. In addition, the cable has an inner coating made of a halogen-free compound and an outer HM4 polymer coating, also halogen-free, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire. The orange color of the coating makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation. The permissible operating temperature of the conductors is 90°C, and during a short circuit – as much as 250°C. The cable voltage test is 4kV.
Application and benefits
The NKGsżo FE180/PH90 cable finds wide application in public buildings, industrial facilities and wherever high fire resistance and maintaining continuous power supply in emergency situations are required. Its halogen-free construction increases the safety of users and reduces material damage in the event of a fire. The minimum bending radius for multi-core cables is 12 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. Conductor resistance meets the requirements of PN-EN 60288 cl.1 and 2 and IEC 60288 cl. 1 and 2.
