Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability in critical installations
This NKGsżo FE180/PH90 power cable is an advanced solution designed for applications where high fire resistance and continuous power supply are required. The cable is designed to ensure safety in emergency situations, maintaining functionality for 90 minutes (PH90) even in post-fire conditions. This is crucial for installations in public buildings, data centers, hospitals and other facilities with increased safety requirements.
Construction and application
This cable is characterized by a construction that provides high reliability and durability. Made of copper conductors with a cross-section of 25 mm², insulated with ceramic-filled silicone rubber, it guarantees safe and efficient transmission of electrical energy. Designed for operation in networks with a voltage of 0.6/1 kV, it works perfectly in fixed installations. Thanks to the absence of halogen in its composition, the cable minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion, which further increases the level of safety.
NKGsżo FE180/PH90 cables are primarily used in:
- Power supply installations in public buildings (hospitals, schools, office buildings).
- Fire protection and alarm systems.
- Data centers and server rooms.
- Industrial electrical installations requiring high fire resistance.
- Tunnels and critical infrastructure facilities.
Key product features
- Fire resistance: Ensures circuit continuity for 90 minutes (PH90) under fire conditions, in accordance with PN-EN50200 standard. This allows for safe disconnection of devices or continued operation of safety systems during evacuation.
- Halogen-free: Minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion, protecting human health and the environment. Meets the requirements of PN-EN 60332-1 and PN-EN 60332-3 standards.
- Mechanical strength: Copper conductors with a cross-section of 25 mm² guarantee high conductivity and resistance to mechanical damage.
- Wide temperature range: Designed for operation at temperatures from -30°C to +90°C in fixed installations and from -5°C to +50°C during installation. The permissible temperature of the conductors during a short circuit is as high as 250°C.
- Flexibility: The cable construction allows for relatively easy installation and routing of cables even in difficult conditions. The minimum bending radius for multi-core cables is 12 x cable diameter (Ø).
- Rated voltage: Suitable for operation at a rated voltage of U/U=0.6/1kV and a test voltage of 4kV.
