Fire-resistant power cable NKGsżo FE180/PH90 – safety and reliability in critical installations

The NKGsżo FE180/PH90 power cable is an advanced solution designed for installations requiring a high level of fire safety. Designed for continuous power supply in emergency situations, it ensures function retention for 90 minutes (PH90) in accordance with PN-EN50200. This is crucial in public buildings, data centers, hospitals and anywhere else where a power outage could have serious consequences.

Construction and properties

This cable is distinguished by its halogen-free construction, meaning it does not release toxic gases corrosive to electronic devices during combustion. Copper conductors, available in solid (class 1) or stranded (class 2) versions according to PN-EN 60228 and IEC 60228, are insulated with ceramic silicone rubber HXI1 (DIN VDE 0266), providing high resistance to temperature and environmental conditions. An additional inner coating made of a special halogen-free mixture and an outer polymer coating HM4 (DIN VDE 207 part 24) increase durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The characteristic orange color makes it easier to identify the cable during installation and maintenance.

Application and benefits

Thanks to its fire reaction class, it meets stringent safety standards. Designed to operate in a temperature range of -30°C to +90°C (during operation) and up to +250°C during a short circuit, guaranteeing reliable operation even in extreme conditions. Rated voltage 0.6/1kV allows for wide application in various electrical installations. Conductor resistance meets the requirements of PN-EN 60288 class 1 and 2 and IEC 60288 class 1 and 2, which translates to minimal energy losses and efficient power transmission. The minimum bending radius is 15xØ for single-core cables and 12xØ for multi-core cables, making installation easier even in tight spaces.
