Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability of installations

This halogen-free power cable is designed to provide the highest level of safety in installations where fire resistance is crucial. The NKGsżo FE180/PH90 cable, thanks to its special construction, maintains electrical functionality for 90 minutes in fire conditions (PH90), in accordance with PN-EN50200 standard. This feature is particularly important in public buildings, data centers, hospitals and other places requiring continuous power supply in emergency situations.

The cable is characterized by a conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm² and has seven copper cores, making it ideal for applications requiring greater bandwidth and reliability. Rated voltage of 1 kV and 0.6 kV ensures compatibility with a wide range of electrical installations.

Construction and properties

The cable construction is based on copper cores, which can be solid (class 1) or stranded (class 2) according to PN-EN 60228 and IEC 60228 standards. The insulation is made of ceramic silicone rubber HXI1 (DIN VDE 0266), which provides excellent dielectric properties and resistance to high temperatures. The cable retains its properties in the temperature range from -30°C to +90°C for fixed installation and from -5°C to +50°C during assembly. Additionally, the cable has an orange jacket for easy identification.

The minimum bending radius for single-core cables is 15 x cable diameter (Ø), and for multi-core cables – 12 x Ø. Conductor resistance meets the requirements of PN-EN 60288 cl.1 and 2 and IEC 60288 cl. 1 and 2.
