Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability in critical situations
The (N)HXH-J FE180/E90 3x2.5 0.6/1kV cable is an advanced solution designed for installations requiring high fire resistance and maintaining continuous power supply in extreme conditions. Manufactured by the renowned Zakłady Kablowe BITNER, this cable is used in public buildings, industrial facilities, and anywhere where safety and reliability are a priority.
This cable is characterized by a construction that ensures the maintenance of electrical functions even during a fire. Class E90 guarantees the maintenance of power supply and the ability to control critical devices for at least 90 minutes in the event of a fire. This is crucial for fire protection systems, emergency lighting, elevators, and other devices necessary to ensure the safety of people.
Construction and application
The (N)HXH-J cable has three copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², insulated with special ceramic silicone rubber HXI1. These conductors are surrounded by an inner coating of a halogen-free mixture and an outer HM4 polymer coating, which provides additional protection against external factors. The orange color of the coating makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation.
The cable is designed to operate in installations with a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV. Thanks to its construction and fire-resistant properties, it is ideal for:
- Electrical installations in public buildings (hospitals, schools, office buildings).
- Fire protection systems (fire alarms, fire pumps).
- Emergency lighting.
- Power supply for elevators and lifts.
- Industrial power installations for machines and equipment.
- Where maintaining power continuity during a fire is required.
Key features and benefits
- Fire resistance: FE180/E90 fire reaction class ensures the maintenance of electrical functions for at least 90 minutes during a fire.
- Halogen-free: Materials used in the production of the cable do not contain halogens, which minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion – important for health and safety.
- Copper conductors: Provide high electrical conductivity and reliable connections.
- Wide temperature range: The cable retains its properties over a wide range of operating temperatures from -30°C to +90°C.
- Mechanical strength: Solid construction provides resistance to mechanical damage during installation and operation.
- Application in sprinkler-protected areas: Possibility of use in installations equipped with water-based extinguishing systems.
- Protective conductor: Increases safety by providing protection against electric shock.
Thanks to these features, the (N)HXH-J FE180/E90 cable is an investment in the safety and reliability of the electrical installation, minimizing the risk of material losses and threats to human life in the event of a fire.
