Fire-resistant cable for safety systems
This three-core, 2.5 mm² fire-resistant cable is designed for installations requiring continued operation in fire conditions. Made with solid copper conductors, silicone rubber insulation, and a halogen-free outer sheath, it ensures reliable operation even at extreme temperatures. The cable is designed for operation at 500V.
Application and construction features
HDGs (żo) cable is primarily used in fire safety systems, such as: fire alarm installations, fire detection systems, smoke extractors, emergency lighting, and DSO (operational service dispatch) systems. Thanks to its special construction – a cross-linked silicone insulation mixture – it maintains its working properties for a long time under direct flame exposure. This ensures the continuity of critical circuits during a fire, which is fundamental to the safety of people and property.
The conductors are made of class 1 solid copper wire (according to PN-EN 60228), guaranteeing good conductivity and flexibility. The ceramic silicone rubber insulation provides high thermal and chemical resistance. The outer sheath made of a halogen-free polymer mixture minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion, increasing evacuation safety. The red sheath color makes it easy to identify the cable in the installation. The cable is characterized by an allowable operating temperature of the working conductors up to 90°C and a short-circuit temperature up to 250°C. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces.

The cable meets stringent fire resistance standards: FE180/PH90/E30-E90, meaning it maintains its functionality for at least 90 minutes in fire conditions. The cable is characterized by high insulation resistance, minimum 100 MΩxkm. It is intended for permanent installation inside buildings and requires the use of accessories with appropriate fire resistance class. Its construction provides a diameter of 9.6 mm with a weight of 136 kg/km and a copper content of 72 kg/km.
