Construction and properties

The XzTKMXpw cable is characterized by a careful construction that ensures its durability and resistance to external factors. It consists of solid copper conductors insulated with foamed polyethylene (PE) with an additional layer of solid PE. The conductors are grouped in twisted pairs, which minimizes interference and improves signal quality. A key element protecting against moisture is the gel filling and aluminum tape with a copolymer forming a water barrier. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyethylene (PE) jacket, resistant to UV radiation.

Thanks to the materials and production technology used, this cable meets the requirements for resistance to weather and mechanical conditions. This is particularly important when laying the cable directly in the ground, where it is exposed to moisture, temperature and potential damage.

User parameters and installation

The XzTKMXpw 4x2x0.5 cable has 8 conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm². The minimum bending radius during laying is 10 times the cable diameter, which facilitates installation and prevents damage to the conductors. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C, and laying is possible from -10°C. The effective capacitance of the pair is a maximum of 55 pF/km (for 0.5/0.6 mm conductors). The insulation resistance of the conductor is a minimum of 1500 MΩxkm.

Thanks to the gel filling, the cable is easy to process and does not require specialized tools when preparing for connections. However, remember to exercise caution when working with electrical wires and to follow the safety rules applicable to telecommunications installations.
