Made of copper, with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation and coating, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation. Construction and application

The YKY 4x16 RE cable consists of four copper cores with a cross-section of 16 mm², insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The whole is surrounded by an external PVC coating, which protects against mechanical damage and weather conditions. This makes the cable perfectly suited for harsh environmental conditions. It is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 1 kV (0.6/1 kV), making it suitable for most standard electrical installations.

The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 222 mm – it is worth considering this when designing the cable route to avoid damage. The cable weight is approximately 890 kg/km, which should be taken into account during transport and installation. The reaction to fire class is Eca, which provides a basic level of fire protection. The cores are made of copper class 1 (solid conductors).
