External PVC-U sewage pipe SN8

The external PVC sewage pipe with a diameter of 110 mm and a length of 2000 mm of class SN8 is a high-quality component of underground drainage and sewerage systems. Made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) in an orange-brown color (RAL 8023), it is characterized by a system durability exceeding 100 years.

Construction and materials ensuring durability

The pipe features a solid wall construction, which guarantees a homogeneous structure throughout the entire cross-section and smooth external and internal surfaces. The PVC-U material is resistant to sewage with pH values ranging from pH 2 (acid) to pH 12 (alkali) and is completely resistant to corrosion caused by the destructive action of groundwater.

The ring stiffness class SN8 signifies a strength of 8 kN/m², allowing the pipes to be used both outside building structures (U area) and under road structures or other areas used for transport engineering (UD area). A wall thickness of 3.2 mm provides the required strength while maintaining a relatively low mass.

Connection system and installation tightness

The pipe is equipped with a standard socket with a K-U21 type LOCK seal, which features a design that prevents displacement from the socket groove during installation. The DIN-LOCK type seal ensures increased tightness against both positive pressure (min. 0.5 bar) and negative pressure (0.3 bar), eliminating the risk of sewage exfiltration into the ground or groundwater infiltration into the pipes.

The dimensional system for pipes and fittings is designed so that gasket connections exhibit absolute tightness under extreme operating conditions. The smoothness of the internal pipe surface translates to minimal hydraulic resistance of sewage flow and the absence of sediment formation.

Applications and user advantages

The product is used in underground non-pressure drainage and sewerage laid in the ground within the road strip – both under and outside the roadway. It is also effective for creating protective covers for other conduits, culverts through road embankments, and drainage for bridge structures built on road routes.

Compared to stoneware or cast iron pipes, the PVC-U pipe has a significantly lower mass – an element with a diameter of 315 mm and a length of 6 m can be carried manually by two installers. The reduced mass facilitates installation without the need for specialized equipment and shortens the construction period.

The system meets the requirements of the PN-EN 1401-1 standard regarding plastic piping systems for underground non-pressure drainage and sewerage. It also holds the Technical Approval ITB AT-15-7558/2016 for KACZMAREK PVC-U solid-wall pipes and fittings for non-pressure external sewerage networks.
