Steel fitting for pressure installations

This steel fitting with a male thread (GZ), a nominal diameter of 35 mm and a 1-inch thread, is a key element of the KAN-therm Steel systems. Designed for creating durable and safe connections in internal installations, it is suitable for both residential and industrial buildings. Its construction based on carbon steel with a zinc coating ensures corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.

Construction and application

The fitting has a clamping socket on one side and a tapered BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) external gas thread on the other. This allows connecting a steel pipe to an element with an external thread. Made of RSt 34-2 steel (1.0034 according to DIN EN 10305-3), covered with a layer of zinc (8-15 µm) with an additional layer of chromium, it guarantees high mechanical strength and resistance to external factors. An O-ring seal made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber ensures the tightness of the connection.

LBP function and Press technology

The fitting is designed for quick and reliable installation using the "Press" technology. This eliminates the need for welding or threading, reducing installation time and minimizing the risk of errors. Importantly, the fitting is equipped with the LBP (Leak Before Press) function – a signal for unpressed connections. This allows the installer to immediately notice a potential problem and avoid leaks. Press technology allows working at pressures up to 25 bar and temperatures up to 200°C (using appropriate crimping tools). This solution is particularly appreciated when replacing old heating installations in multi-family buildings, where open fire is prohibited.
