Steel compression fitting for compression connections

This steel GW Steel nipple fitting, with a diameter of 1/2 inch (DN15) and an outer tube diameter of 18 mm, is designed to create durable and leak-proof connections in installations. Design and application

The fitting has a tapered BSPT-Rc (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) internal gas thread and a push-in end, making it a versatile element for connecting pipes of different diameters and connection types. The fitting length is 50 mm, and the connection lengths are 28 mm and 22 mm respectively. This makes it ideal for building branches, extensions and other installation elements. It is particularly useful when modernizing existing installations or building new heating and water systems.

LBP function and installation safety

The fitting is equipped with an LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leakage function, which significantly facilitates the detection of uncompressed connections. This means that a connection that has not been properly compressed will be leaky and easily noticeable during a pressure test. This is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of the entire installation - it helps to avoid potential failures and costly repairs in the future. An O-ring seal further guarantees the tightness of the connection. The KAN-therm Steel system uses EPDM seals (factory mounted) or FPM/Viton (for replacement), adapting to different system operating parameters and medium types.
