Steel reduction for press fittings

This steel reduction nipple is used to connect pipes of different diameters in KAN-therm Steel systems. It allows a transition from a pipe with an outer diameter of 66.7 mm to a pipe with an outer diameter of 76.1 mm, maintaining a tight and reliable connection. It is a key element in installations requiring precise diameter matching.

Construction and application

The reduction has a socket clamping connection on one side and a crimp end on the other, ensuring quick and secure installation using press-fitting techniques. Made of carbon steel, it is characterized by high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance – especially thanks to galvanizing (zinc layer 8-15 µm). The seal made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) rubber guarantees a long-lasting tight connection.

• Total length 139 mm – provides adequate space for crimping and a stable connection.

Additionally, the reduction is equipped with a Leak Before Press (LBP) controlled leakage function, which allows detection of an improperly made connection even before the installation is put into use, minimizing the risk of failures and costly repairs. This is an important convenience for both installers and end users.
