Steel reducing nipple - 88.9/76.1 1509221038
Steel reduction for press fittings
This steel reduction nipple is used to connect pipes of different diameters in KAN-therm Steel installations. It is a key element when transitioning between different sections of the installation, ensuring a tight and durable connection. The construction based on a crimp sleeve and a push-in end guarantees quick and reliable installation.
Construction and application
The reduction connects a pipe with a diameter of 88.9 mm to a pipe with a diameter of 76.1 mm. Made of carbon steel, it provides strength and resistance to mechanical damage. Additionally, the presence of an O-ring seal minimizes the risk of leaks, and the LBP (Leak Before Press) controlled leakage technology increases installation safety – any leaks are visible before the fitting is fully crimped. This allows for quick identification and repair of potential problems.
- LBP function: Controlled leakage before pressing – increased safety and reliability of the installation.
- Material: Carbon steel – high strength and corrosion resistance.
- Application: Ideal for water supply, heating, cooling and industrial installations.
- Compatibility: Designed for KAN-therm Steel systems, guarantees the tightness and durability of press connections.
Thanks to the galvanized coating (Fe/Zn88) with a thickness of 8-15 µm, the reduction is resistant to corrosion, which extends its service life even in harsh operating conditions. This is particularly important in installations exposed to moisture or contact with aggressive chemicals. Installation is simple and quick thanks to the crimping system, which translates into saving time and labor costs for both the installer and the end user.
