Galvanized Steel Reducing Tee, 18/12/18 mm
Fitting made of galvanized steel (Fe/Zn88), with a zinc coating thickness of 8–15 µm, designed for press-fitting installation. Features the controlled leak function LBP – allows detection of improper connections before system commissioning, thanks to visible leakage at the site of incorrect pressing.
All three connections are press-fit sleeves, enabling installation without threads and without specialized tools other than a press tool. Pipe diameters: 18 mm – 12 mm – 18 mm, with a 90° angle. Working lengths of the connections are matched to standard multi-layer pipes – 16.5 mm for both 18 mm ends and 25.5 mm for the central 12 mm connection.
Seal made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) – resistant to temperatures from -40°C to +95°C and to potable water, hot water, and cooling water. Maximum working pressure: 16 bar at 20°C – sufficient for heating and plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Installation is quick and requires no welding or threading. After pressing, no additional insulation or surface treatment is needed – the assembly is immediately hermetic. The technical value of this component lies in its simplicity: no moving parts, no threads to damage, no risk of leaks due to improper tightening.
For the installer: verify the press-fit via LBP – if there is no leakage, the connection is correct. For the end user: no leaks after years of operation, even with temperature or pressure fluctuations.
Compatible with the Steel KAN-therm system – compatible with other components of this series: elbows, caps, reducing sleeves using the same installation method.
