Steel reducing tee for press installations
This reducing tee from KAN-therm Steel is a reliable solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in heating and chilled water installations. Made of galvanized steel, it provides durability and corrosion resistance, and the press connection technology guarantees tightness and quick installation.
The tee with a 90° angle and a reduction of 35/18/35 mm is designed for KAN-therm Steel systems using "press" connections. This makes the installation process much faster than traditional screwing or welding methods, and the connections are characterized by a minimal reduction in cross-section, which translates to better hydraulic parameters and lower pressure losses.
Application and benefits:
- Diameter reduction: Allows connection of pipes with diameters of 35 mm, 18 mm and again 35 mm in one point. This is an ideal solution when changing the pipe diameter in the installation.
- Press technology: Ensures quick and reliable installation without the need for welding or screwing. Pressing tools for press connections minimize the risk of errors during installation.
- Galvanized steel: Guarantees high corrosion resistance, which extends the life of the installation. The zinc layer protects the steel from external factors.
- Controlled Leak Before Press (LBP): The LBP controlled leak function increases the safety of the installation – in the event of incomplete pressing, the connection will start to leak, signaling an installation error.
- Versatility: Suitable for heating and chilled water installations (do not use in hot, cold water or circulation installations).
- Compatibility: Designed for use with KAN-therm Steel pipes and fittings.
Construction and installation:
The tee is made of carbon steel coated with a layer of zinc (Fe/Zn88) with a thickness of 8-15 µm. It has three socket connections, allowing easy and tight connection with pipes using the appropriate pressing tool. Installation is simple and intuitive, even for less experienced installers. It is important to properly prepare the pipe before pressing – removing burrs and ensuring a clean contact surface is key to a tight connection.
Compliance with standards:
The product has been tested in accordance with applicable safety standards in the EU market, confirming its high quality and reliability. Detailed information on certificates of conformity can be obtained directly from the manufacturer – KAN Sp. z o.o..
