Steel Reducing Crossing Tee - 28/12 1509057001
Solution for Complex Installation Nodes
In locations where the installation requires a main pipe run with a simultaneous branch, standard fittings are often insufficient. The Steel bypass reducing four-way fitting with dimensions 28/12 mm is an element specifically designed for such scenarios. It allows a 28 mm diameter pipe to be run in a straight line (bypass), while simultaneously enabling the connection of a smaller 12 mm diameter pipe at a 90-degree angle. This eliminates the need for additional connectors or pipe cutting, significantly simplifying network installation and reducing the number of potential leak points.
Mounting Technology and Connection Safety
The fitting is made of carbon steel, galvanized by the electroplating method (Fe/Zn88) with a coating thickness of 8–15 µm. This protection guards against corrosion in typical operating conditions for heating and water supply installations. All four openings (one bypass and three branches) are equipped with a press-fit system requiring jaws with an "M" profile.
A key structural element is the O-ring seal, which ensures connection tightness even before final pressing. Importantly, for the safety of renovation and industrial works, the product features the Leak Before Press (LBP) function. This means that if the seal is damaged or not properly installed, water will begin to leak externally before the pressing operation. This provides the installer with immediate feedback on an error, eliminating the risk of a hidden leak within a wall or ceiling after the installation is concealed.
Application and System Compatibility
This component is an integral part of the KAN-therm Steel system, dedicated to rapid press-fit assembly. This solution enables the implementation of:
- Central heating (CH) installations
- Cooling systems (chilled water)
- Industrial heat and solar installations
- Industrial pipelines transporting, e.g., fuel oil
Installation is fast and safe – it does not require open flame or pipe threading, which is particularly valuable during building renovation works or in areas with limited access. The T-structure with a branch allows for flexible pipe routing without the need for additional transition elements. The steel construction ensures high mechanical strength and resistance to pressure fluctuations within the installation, making it a reliable component in demanding industrial environments as well as domestic heating systems.
