Multilayer pipe for water and heating installations

Pertal pipe with blue insulation 6 mm ultraPRESS is a comprehensive solution for water and heating installations. Made of polyethylene with increased thermal resistance (PE-RT I) with a longitudinally welded aluminum layer, it ensures durability and reliability. Thanks to the thermal insulation made of expanded polyethylene with a thickness of 6 mm, it minimizes heat loss, which translates into energy savings. The pipe is intended for use in cold and hot domestic water installations, radiator heating, underfloor heating and cooling, and compressed air.

Construction and properties

The PERTAL ultraPRESS pipe is characterized by a multilayer structure that combines the advantages of metal and plastic. The aluminum layer acts as an anti-diffusion barrier for oxygen, preventing corrosion of installation components. The inner layer of PE-RT I provides a smooth surface, minimizing flow resistance and facilitating cleaning. The inner diameter of the pipe is 32 mm with a wall thickness of 3 mm. Thanks to this combination of materials, the pipe is resistant to high pressure (up to 10 bar) and temperature (up to 90°C). Low linear coefficient of thermal expansion (α = 0.023-0.025 mm/mxK) and thermal conductivity (λ = 0.43 W/mxK) ensure installation stability and energy efficiency.

Application and installation

The PERTAL pipe with blue insulation is dedicated to use in the ultraPRESS system, which is based on crimp fittings made of PPSU or brass with a steel ring. Installation is quick, simple and reliable - it does not require welding or gluing. The minimum bending radius of the pipe is 3.5 times the outer diameter (OD) when using profiling tools and 5 OD without them. The pipe has certificates confirming its compliance with applicable standards (CSTB, DVGW, EMI, ETA, ITC, KIWA, KOMO, Lloyds, OVGW, GOSTR, PZH, STAMPAR, WRAS, ZIK), which guarantees its safety and high quality. The application class of the pipe is 1-5 according to ISO 10508. Available in coils of 50 meters.
