Steel reducing nipple 54/42 1509221034
Steel reduction for press fittings
This KAN-therm Steel series reduction nipple connects pipes with diameters of 54 mm and 42 mm, allowing a change in cross-section in the installation. Made of carbon steel with a galvanized coating, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. It is a key element of the KAN-therm Steel system, designed for the construction of heating, water and technological installations.
Design and application
The reduction has a clamping sleeve connection on one side and a crimp end on the other, allowing for quick and secure installation using press technology. This makes the installation process much faster than traditional methods such as welding or threading. The use of this reduction is particularly useful when connecting elements with different diameters, e.g. when transitioning from the main line to branches. The seal made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber guarantees the tightness of the connection.
LBP function and installation safety
KAN-therm Steel fittings are equipped with the LBP (Leak Before Press) function, which indicates an unpressed connection. This is an important convenience that allows easy detection of errors during installation and minimizes the risk of leaks in the future. Carbon steel RSt 34-2 (1.0034 according to DIN EN 10305-3) provides high mechanical strength and resistance to damage, which is particularly important in places exposed to loads or vandalism. This system allows operation at pressures up to 25 bar and temperatures up to 200°C (using appropriate crimping tools).
