PPR stabiGLASS SDR7.4 PN16 pipe - 50x6.9, 4 m length 1229204006
Fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene pipe for water and heating installations
PPR stabiGLASS SDR7.4 PN16 pipe is a reliable solution for building hot and cold water supply systems, as well as central heating. Made of high-quality random polypropylene (PP-R) with the addition of fiberglass, it is characterized by high strength and dimensional stability, even at varying temperatures. Fiberglass stabilization minimizes the linear expansion of the pipe, which translates into lower stresses in connections and a longer service life of the entire installation.
Construction and application
stabiGLASS pipe is designed for KAN-therm PP systems, offering a wide range of applications in residential and commercial construction. Thanks to the PN16 class, it is suitable for operation at a pressure of up to 16 bar, ensuring safe use. Polyfusion welding allows for tight and durable connections, eliminating the risk of leaks. The pipe is compatible with other elements of the KAN-therm PP system, allowing for a comprehensive installation.
- High temperature resistance: Trouble-free operation in the temperature range up to 60°C.
- Dimensional stability: Fiberglass reduces thermal expansion, minimizing the risk of damage caused by thermal expansion.
- Durability and reliability: 10-year warranty (15 years in individual construction) confirms the high quality of the product.
- Wide range of diameters: Available in various diameters (from 16 to 110 mm), allowing adaptation to specific installation needs.
- Polyfusion welding: Ensures tight and durable connections without the need for additional sealants.
- Certificates: It has CSTB, ITB, Lloyds and PZH certificates, confirming compliance with safety and quality standards.
Technical characteristics and benefits for the installer
stabiGLASS SDR7.4 PN16 pipe with a diameter of 50x6.9 mm supplied in 4-meter lengths facilitates transport and assembly on the construction site. Low internal wall roughness (k = 0.007 mm) minimizes pressure losses of the flowing medium, which translates into energy efficiency of the system. Additionally, the lack of the need to scrape the pipe before welding – characteristic of pipes stabilized with fiberglass – significantly speeds up the installation process and reduces labor costs. The coefficient of thermal expansion α is 0.03 mm/mxK and the thermal conductivity λ is 0.24 W/mxK - these parameters ensure stable operation of the installation in various environmental conditions. The minimum bending radius Rmin is 8 D (outer diameter). The PN‑EN 15874 standard guarantees compliance with European quality standards.
