Polypropylene pipe for water and heating installations
The pipe made of polypropylene random (PP-R) is a reliable solution for building water supply and heating installations. It is characterized by high resistance to pressure and temperature, which ensures long-lasting and safe operation. It is a homogeneous product, meaning it has the same structure throughout its thickness – this translates to greater certainty of fusion-welded connections.
Features and application
The pipe with a diameter of 63 mm and a wall thickness of 10.5 mm, supplied in rods of 4 meters in length, is intended for cold water, hot water and central heating installations. Thanks to the pressure class PN20, it can withstand a working pressure of up to 20 bar at a maximum operating temperature. Made of polypropylene (PP), it is resistant to corrosion and deposits, which guarantees the purity of the transported media. The white color of the pipe makes it easier to identify in the installation.
- Versatility: Can be used in cold water (up to 20 bar), hot water (up to 10 bar) and central heating (up to 6 bar) installations.
- Strength: Pressure class PN20 ensures safe use even under high loads.
- Durability: Polypropylene is a material resistant to corrosion and deposits, which extends the life of the installation.
- Easy installation: Polyfusion welding is a quick and reliable method of connecting KAN-therm system elements.
- Compliance with standards: The pipe meets the requirements of PN‑EN 15874 standard, which confirms its high quality and safety. It has CSTB, ITB, Lloyds, PZH and ZiK certificates.
This pipe is ideal for both professional installers and end customers carrying out their own plumbing and heating projects. Its solid construction and compliance with applicable standards guarantee trouble-free use for many years. The linear thermal expansion coefficient is 0.15 mm/mxK and the thermal conductivity λ is 0.24 W/mxK – parameters important in the design of complex heating systems. The minimum bending radius of the pipe is 8D (outer diameter). The inner wall roughness k is 0.007mm, which affects the reduction of flow losses.
