Pipe diameter reduction in PP-R installations
The threaded reduction sleeve made of random polypropylene (PP-R) is a reliable solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in water and heating systems. Model 90/63, designed for fusion welding, allows for precise connection of a 90 mm diameter pipe with a 63 mm diameter pipe. This fitting is an integral part of the KAN-therm system, ensuring compatibility and installation safety.
Construction and application
The construction of the reduction sleeve allows for direct welding into the fitting socket from the larger diameter side (90 mm), while the smaller diameter (63 mm) is intended for direct connection to the pipe. The simple shape facilitates installation, and the material – random polypropylene – guarantees durability and corrosion resistance. The fitting is used in cold water (up to 20 bar), hot water (up to 10 bar) and central heating (up to 6 bar) installations, with a maximum operating temperature of up to 90°C. It is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial buildings – application class 1-5.
Safety and certificates
The use of high-quality random polypropylene and compliance with PN‑EN 15874 standard ensure long-term and trouble-free operation. The sleeve has a number of certificates confirming its quality and safety: CSTB, ITB, Lloyds and PZH and ZiK. The manufacturer's warranty on the product is 10 years (even 15 years in individual construction), which demonstrates its reliability. Fusion welding ensures a tight and durable connection, minimizing the risk of leaks and failures.
