Energy consumption monitoring in single-phase installations
The KDEM-1P LCD meter is a reliable device designed for precise measurement of electricity consumption in single-phase networks. It is suitable for both commercial and industrial applications, providing key data for analysis and optimization of energy costs. It measures and displays active power consumption (kWh), enabling current control over consumption.
This model uses a direct measurement method, which translates to high accuracy of readings. Compliance with the MID directive (accuracy class B) guarantees the reliability of measurements, and the factory-sealed meter and the possibility of additional securing of the terminals under the power supply cables ensure protection against manipulation.
Functionality and installation
KDEM-1P LCD has been designed with ease of installation and use in mind. Mounting is done on a standard DIN rail (TH35), which facilitates integration with existing electrical infrastructure. Additionally, it is equipped with an S0+ pulse output, enabling remote reading of energy consumption data – an ideal solution for energy monitoring and management systems.
The meter has a clear LCD display that shows current energy consumption values. Compact dimensions (1 module) allow for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. The maximum current of the meter is 45A, and the measurement range reaches 99999.99 kWh, allowing for long-term monitoring of consumption without the need to reset the device.
Specification and application
The device operates at a rated voltage of 230V AC and a frequency of 50Hz. It is adapted to work indoors, in a temperature range from -10°C to 35°C. Thanks to accuracy class B and compliance with PN-EN 60715 standard, the meter meets stringent requirements regarding measurement accuracy. The pulse output generates 2000 pulses per kWh, allowing for easy integration with building automation systems or remote data reading. The meter's own consumption does not exceed 4VA, minimizing its impact on the overall energy consumption in the installation. The cross-section of the wires connected to the connection terminal should be from 2.5 mm² to 6 mm².
