Additionally, the device stores in memory information about the detection of elevated CO concentration (above 100 ppm), allowing you to check if a hazard occurred during your absence. The test/reset button allows you to regularly check the detector's functionality and reset the alarm after removing the cause of the hazard. The self-test system monitors the condition of the sensor, internal circuits, and battery level, informing about any problems with a flashing yellow LED and an audible signal.

User Comfort and Installation

The Kidde K5CO detector is extremely easy to use and install. It can be mounted on the wall or placed on a flat surface, e.g., on a bedside table. Thanks to its compact size, it will discreetly fit into any interior. The device is powered by two AA batteries (included), which provide long-lasting operation. After 10 years from power activation, the detector will remind you to replace the device.
