Hardened screw for timber constructions

Hardened wood screw with a diameter of 5,0mm and a length of 70mm with a countersunk head, made of carbon steel and subjected to a hardening process.

High-quality construction and materials

The screw core is made of high-carbon steel. The thermal hardening process increases surface hardness to a level that allows drilling through hard exotic wood species.

The protective layer, applied via electro-galvanization, ensures a C2 corrosion class according to European standards. The passivation of the galvanization provides a characteristic golden color that complements the natural shades of various wood species.

Advanced fastening system

A partial thread with a length of 40mm enables secure clamping of the joined elements during the assembly process. Milling ribs located directly under the countersunk head create a special milling zone, which allows for smooth head countersinking into the material without the need for additional surface preparation.

A cutting flute with a length from 4,5mm to 7,5mm functions as a specialized tool for cutting the wood structure before the thread enters. It protects the material from cracking and splitting at the hole edges.

The ribbed thread is coated with a layer of microscopic lubricating wax, reducing the force required to drive the screw.

Ergonomic TORX TX25 drive

The TORX TX25 socket is used to transfer torque to the screw shank. The six-point star eliminates the risk of socket damage during intensive work.

The TORX socket geometry facilitates tool guidance throughout the entire assembly cycle and automatically centers the bit within the socket before the rotational movement begins.

Assembly applications

The screw is intended for fastening chipboards, joining laminated and exotic wood elements, and fastening layered boards and glulam. It is suitable for fastening carpentry joints, constructing wooden fences and enclosures, and securing wooden components.

Assembly efficiency and energy savings

Cutting notches located at the beginning of the thread section cut through the structural cellulose bonds within the wood material before the screw motion of the main thread section begins.

A wide range of available sizes allows for the selection of the optimal parameter for each specific assembly application.

The product meets the requirements of European standards PN-EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 and DIN 7505 regarding fasteners intended for timber constructions and possesses full CE certification documentation required for professional construction applications.
