The KMW-06040 metal hammer-in anchor is a professional solution for fastening lightweight structural elements in uncracked concrete, solid brick, and concrete blocks. Thanks to its simple hammer installation, it is ideal for mounting CW steel profiles, sanitary installations, and wooden facades.

The product has been specifically designed for statically loaded structural elements, where fast and aesthetic connection execution is required. The low-profile mushroom head ensures not only secure fastening but also a neat surface finish without protruding elements.

Construction and materials ensuring durability

The anchor is made of galvanized steel, which guarantees corrosion resistance and long-term fastening stability. The expansion element is made of a Zn-Al alloy, while the pin is made of steel - such a combination of materials ensures an optimal balance between strength and flexibility during installation.

The conical head design allows for easy seating by the fastened element and ensures even pressure against the substrate. The maximum thickness of the fastened element can be up to 10 mm, covering most standard structural profiles.

Operating parameters and safety of use

The KMW-06040 anchor is characterized by an average failure load of 1.24 kN in concrete, with a recommended working load of 0.15 kN. These parameters guarantee safe fastening of lightweight structures with an appropriate safety factor.

The product holds the national technical approval KOT-2019/1042, confirming its compliance with PN-EN standard requirements for fastenings in concrete classes C20/25 ÷ C50/60. Additionally, it meets the requirements of the ITB-KOT-2019/1042 standard edition 1 and holds AT-15-7637/2014 certificates.

The minimum substrate thickness must be 100 mm, and the minimum spacing between anchors must be 20 mm. The edge distance cannot be less than 30 mm, ensuring the correct operation of the expansion zone.

Simple hammer installation - step-by-step instructions

Installing the KMW-06040 anchor does not require specialized tools - a standard hammer is sufficient. The installation process begins by drilling a hole with a diameter of 7 mm and a minimum depth of 35 mm using a 6mm SDS drill bit.

After drilling the hole, you must thoroughly remove the dust by blowing it out at least 4 times using a manual pump - this is crucial for the correct expansion of the anchor. Next, place the anchor through the hole in the fastened element and hammer the pin until it is flush with the surface of the mushroom head.

The anchor is ready for loading immediately after installation - it requires no curing time or additional maintenance thanks to the galvanized surface protecting against corrosion.
