Koelner FX-L is a nylon quick-assembly plug with a steel mushroom head screw, specifically designed for efficient through-fixation in solid substrates. The system utilizes an innovative funnel-in-sleeve design that precisely guides the screw during hammer driving, eliminating the risk of damaging the fastened material.

The plug sleeve is made of durable nylon with a diameter of 7,9 mm and a length of 140 mm, ensuring optimal contact surface with the substrate. The galvanized steel screw is equipped with a countersunk head, allowing for aesthetic, flush mounting of elements. The special funnel design of the sleeve automatically centers the screw during hammer installation.

The FX-L system is ideal for fastening construction tracks and strips, as well as various wooden and metal elements. It has found wide application in the installation of auxiliary structures, timber or metal battens, drywall structures, and skirting/dado railing systems. Additionally, it enables efficient fastening of cable holders and pipes.

The maximum thickness of the fastened element is 100 mm with an embedment depth of 40 mm. In C20/25-C50/60 class concrete, it achieves an ultimate load capacity NR,u,m = 0,64 kN and a characteristic load capacity NR,k = 0,50 kN. In solid brick, the ultimate load capacity is 0,80 kN.

Step-by-step installation instructions

Installation begins by drilling a hole with a diameter of 8 mm to an appropriate depth of at least 45 mm. After thoroughly blowing out the dust, insert the plug along with the screw through the hole in the fastened element. Then, use a hammer to drive the screw until the sleeve is fully seated - the element should be flush with the surface of the fastened material.
