Koelner B-WF-4232 self-tapping screw for thin sheets and wood
The Koelner B-WF-4232 self-tapping screw, with a diameter of 4,2 mm and a length of 32 mm, is a specialized fastening element designed for the durable joining of thin-walled materials. Its design, featuring a flat head and a hardened thread surface, not only ensures an aesthetic finish of the connections but, above all, guarantees their long-term stability.
Construction and materials ensuring durability
The core of the screw is made of hardened steel, which translates into high resistance to deformation during assembly and operation. The thread surface has undergone a hardening process, increasing its hardness and resistance to mechanical wear. A key protective element is the zinc coating with a minimum thickness of 5 micrometers, which effectively protects against corrosion even in outdoor conditions.
The wafer head type not only provides an aesthetic appearance of the connection but also guarantees even pressure on the fastened element without the risk of damaging it. The specially shaped sharp point eliminates the need for pre-drilling holes.
Application and material compatibility
The WF-4232 screw works perfectly when fastening elements from thin steel sheets with a thickness from 0,5 mm to metal profiles of greater thickness. It is equally effective with PVC profiles and structural wood, where the minimum embedding depth is 20 mm.
Operating parameters and installation recommendations
In accordance with the PN-EN 14566 + A1:2012 standard, the product has an A1 fire reaction classification and a DoP-EN14566 certificate confirming its performance parameters. The screw should be installed at a right angle to the substrate, using a screwdriver with a speed of 1600-2000/min and adjustable torque.
Installation begins at low speeds (1600-2000 rpm), and the speed should be reduced in the final phase of screwing. The use of a PH2 magnetic bit is recommended, and high-power tools such as impact drills should be avoided.
Compliance and quality certificates
Its fire reaction classified as A1 means the material is completely non-combustible.
It is available in a practical blister pack containing 40 pieces of screws.
