WFS self-drilling screw for thin sheets and wood
The WFS self-drilling screw with dimensions 4,2×13 mm is designed for rapid fastening of thin elements made of steel sheet, PVC, and wood without the need for pre-drilling holes.
Design and materials
The flat head with a cross recess guarantees stable screwdriver engagement and minimizes the risk of damaging the surface of the fastened element. The hardened thread provides increased resistance to stripping during assembly. A zinc coating with a minimum thickness of 5 μm effectively protects against atmospheric corrosion and moisture.
The special shape of the drilling tip enables efficient drilling through materials of varying hardness - from soft steel to PVC plastics - without the risk of cracking or deforming thin elements.
Operating parameters and compatibility
The screw is characterized by a maximum drilling thickness of 2.5 mm, making it ideal for fastening trapezoidal sheets, steel profiles, and structural elements. The minimum substrate thickness is 0.75 mm for steel and 3 mm for PVC profiles.
The minimum spacing between screws is 30 mm, as is the minimum distance from the edge of the fastened element - these parameters guarantee optimal stress distribution and connection durability.
Practical applications
The product works excellently when installing sheet metal cladding, fastening thermal insulation elements to a steel substrate, and installing PVC profiles in finishing systems.
The WFS screw finds application in both industrial and individual construction - from the assembly of steel structures to interior finishing using PVC profiles.
Installation recommendations
Installation should be performed perpendicular to the substrate using a screwdriver with adjustable torque or a depth limiter and a magnetic bit. Initial speeds of 1600-2000 rpm are recommended, with a reduction during the final tightening phase.
The product meets the requirements of standards PN-EN 14566 + A1: 2012 and DoP-EN14566, has a fire reaction classification of A1, and bending strength meeting class 10 requirements.
The unit packaging contains a plastic box with screws (400 pieces).
