Self-drilling screw for thin sheet metal and wood with drill tip 4.2x16 mm WFS /300pcs/ K-SLM3-WFS-4216
Universal fastening element for various materials
The Koelner K-SLM3-WFS-4216 self-drilling screw with dimensions 4,2×16 mm is a professional solution for a wide spectrum of assembly tasks. Thanks to the special shape of the drilling tip, it eliminates the need for pre-drilling holes, which significantly accelerates the installation process and reduces the risk of damaging delicate materials.
High-quality construction and materials
The heart of this fastening system is the hardened steel thread surface. This design ensures exceptional connection durability and resistance to mechanical deformation during assembly and operation. The zinc coating creates an effective anti-corrosion barrier, protecting the element from the harmful effects of moisture and atmospheric factors.
The flat head guarantees an aesthetic surface finish and even pressure on the fastened element. This feature is particularly important in finishing works, where the aesthetics of the connection play a key role.
Practical applications and material compatibility
The K-SLM3-WFS-4216 system was designed with three main categories of construction and finishing materials in mind. For thin steel sheets, it works perfectly for fastening structural and decorative elements. PVC profiles can be safely mounted without the risk of cracking or deformation.
Structural wood requires a minimum embedding depth of 20 mm to ensure the full load-bearing capacity of the connection. This characteristic makes the product particularly useful when mounting wooden elements to a metal substrate or other wood.
Operating parameters and installation recommendations
The optimal tool rotational speed is in the range of 1600-2000 rpm using a screwdriver with adjustable torque or a mounting depth limiter. The installation process should begin at lower speeds, gradually increasing them until full operating speed is reached.
A key technical requirement is installation at a right angle (90°) relative to the substrate surface - only this orientation guarantees full load-bearing capacity and correct operation of the threaded system. The use of a magnetic bit significantly facilitates precise mounting and prevents accidental dropping of the element.
Safety standards and certification
The product meets the strict requirements of the PN-EN 14566 + A1:2012 standard regarding fastening elements used in construction. The Declaration of Performance DoP-EN14566 confirms compliance with all relevant quality and safety parameters.
The A1 fire reaction class means the material is completely non-combustible, allowing these elements to be used also in facilities with elevated fire safety requirements. The bending strength meets the requirements of class 10 according to European standards.
Logistics and packaging
Standard packaging contains exactly 300 pieces of elements placed in a practical plastic package that facilitates storage and transport between workstations. Alternatively, bulk packaging of 1000 pieces is also available, which is suitable for larger construction or renovation projects.
Each package has a unique EAN code 5906675504605, enabling quick product identification and inventory control by construction management systems or installation companies.
