Structural wood screw 8.0x100mm washer head, TX /50pkg/ CS-8100
Hardened elements for fastening wooden structures
CS structural screws are hardened, high-strength elements designed for fastening wooden structures. Made of electro-galvanized low-carbon steel, they provide long-lasting corrosion protection while maintaining high mechanical strength.
Design and materials
The hardened steel core guarantees resistance to breakage and deformation during assembly and operation. The galvanic coating (available in yellow or white passivation) protects against atmospheric corrosion.
The washer head with special geometry significantly increases the clamping surface area compared to a traditional cylindrical head. This feature translates to higher resistance to pull-through in the material and better distribution of clamping forces over a larger wood surface.
Thread geometry and auxiliary functions
A partial thread with a length of 52 mm on a total length of 100 mm ensures optimal clamping of the connected elements while allowing for precise adjustment of the connection. The ribbed thread surface, supported by a wax layer, facilitates the assembly process.
The drilling cutter located at the tip of the thread eliminates the need for pre-drilling pilot holes. This function minimizes the risk of wood splitting at the hole edges and ensures a clean thread entry into the material.
Torx drive system
The TX40 socket guarantees optimal torque transfer without the risk of the bit "camming out" during assembly. The Torx system eliminates problems typical of Phillips or PZ drives - no bit slippage and the ability to use higher tightening torque without damaging the socket.
Structural applications
These screws are used for fastening wooden structural elements and connecting rafters to purlins in roof structures. They are also effective for fastening chipboard and layered boards, as well as in the construction of gazebos, pergolas, shelters, and fences.
Compliance and standards
The product has been manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the PN-EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 standard regarding fasteners for wooden structures. Compliance with this standard guarantees specific strength parameters and safety of use in structural applications.
Installation and use
The length should be selected to match the thickness of the element being fastened. Screwing should be performed perpendicular to the surface until the head is flush with the material surface. In most cases, there is no need for pre-drilling.
A Torx T40 bit suitable for the Ø8mm diameter must be used - using a smaller or larger size may lead to socket damage or incomplete torque transfer.
