Hardened structural fastening elements

CS-8120 screws with a diameter of 8 mm and a length of 120 mm provide solid connections in applications requiring high mechanical strength.

Design and materials

The screw body is made of hardened steel, which guarantees exceptional mechanical strength and resistance to deformation during assembly. The surface is coated with electrogalvanized zinc with yellow or white passivation, providing effective corrosion protection even in humid environments.

The washer head (flange head) is a key design feature - its wide pressure surface significantly increases pull-through resistance and allows for higher load transfers than standard cylindrical heads. The deep TORX T40 socket enables precise transfer of driving force and effectively prevents bit cam-out during operation.

Thread geometry and milling functions

The partial thread with a length of 80 mm serves a dual function: it ensures strong clamping of the connected elements and allows them to be pressed directly against each other. Specially designed milling ribs spread the wood fibers without destroying them, utilizing the natural elasticity of the material.

The precisely rolled thread tip allows for "drilling" to begin immediately upon applying the screw to the substrate, eliminating the need for pre-drilling holes. As a result, a hole with an optimal diameter is created, which prevents wood splitting and counteracts thread clogging with wood shavings.

Applications

For joining rafters to purlins in roof trusses and for fastening counter-battens and battens. They are suitable for the assembly of building structural frames and for fastening wood-based and layered boards.

Unified sizing

Torx sockets with unified sizing within the diameter ranges allow for a reduction in the number of required work bits.

Operating parameters

The unit packaging contains 50 pieces of screws. The product is also available in other lengths (up to max. 400 mm) and diameters (6 mm).
