Structural wood screw 8.0x160mm washer head, TX /50pkg/ CS-8160
Hardened structural screws for fastening wooden elements
The CS-8160 structural screw is a high-strength hardened element, specially created for fastening wooden structures. With a diameter of 8 mm and a length of 160 mm, it ensures solid connections.
Material and protective coating
The screw is made of hardened low-carbon steel, which guarantees high mechanical strength and resistance to shearing under load. The surface is covered with electrogalvanized zinc with yellow or white passivation, providing effective corrosion protection. Electrogalvanized screws may only be used in dry environments, which must be taken into account when planning outdoor applications.
Head design and fastening system
The 15 mm wide washer head significantly increases the pressure surface, providing high pull-through resistance and effectively tightening the connection. The Torx TX40 socket eliminates the problem of the bit "camming out" during assembly, resulting in precise and controlled tool operation.
Thread geometry and special functions
The 80 mm partial thread ensures optimal pressure of the joined elements while simultaneously allowing for precise fit. Specially patented milling ribs spread the wood fibers without damaging them, utilizing the natural elasticity of the material. A special wax layer on the ribbed thread significantly reduces the torque required for assembly.
Professional applications
The screw finds wide application in timber construction - from fastening wooden structural elements through joining rafters with purlins in roof structures, to fastening chipboard and layered boards. Used in the construction of gazebos, pergolas, shelters, and fences.
Practical installation advantages
In most cases, there is no need for pre-drilling, which significantly accelerates assembly work. The milling ribs reduce the risk of wood splitting during driving, which is particularly important when working with solid or hardwood species.
Compliance with safety standards
The screws meet the requirements of the PN-EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 standard and possess the CE certificate, confirming their safety for use in structural applications.
Usage and installation
Select the screw length according to the thickness of the element being fastened - for this diameter, it is recommended to use a Torx T40 bit suitable for Ø8 mm. Screw perpendicularly to the substrate until the head is flush with the material surface.
The unit package contains 50 pieces (2 kg), and the bulk package contains 600 pieces (23.53 kg), enabling economical supply for larger construction projects.
