Structural wood screw 8.0x300mm washer head, TX /50pkg/ CS-8300
High-quality solution for wooden structures
The CS-8300 structural screw is a professional fastener designed for demanding carpentry and construction applications. Made of high-strength hardened steel, it ensures reliable connections in various types of wooden structures.
Construction and materials
The screw core is made of low-carbon steel subjected to a hardening process, which guarantees exceptional resistance to mechanical damage and durability of connections. The surface is coated with a layer of electro-galvanized zinc with yellow or white passivation, providing effective corrosion protection even in difficult atmospheric conditions.
The washer head with a diameter of 22 mm features an increased contact area with the fastened element, significantly increasing pull-through resistance compared to standard solutions. The special head geometry eliminates the risk of damaging the surface of delicate wooden materials.
Thread system and installation
A partial thread with a length of 80 mm on a total length of 300 mm ensures optimal clamping of the joined elements while maintaining connection flexibility. The maximum working length is 220 mm, allowing for the secure fastening of even thick structural elements.
The ribbed thread surface is coated with a special technical wax layer, which significantly reduces the torque required for driving and minimizes the risk of wood splitting during installation. The drill tip located at the end of the screw eliminates the need for pre-drilling pilot holes.
Professional applications
The product finds wide application in timber construction, especially when creating roof trusses, where it is used for the precise joining of rafters to purlins. It also works perfectly for installing building structural frames, counter-battens, and roof battens.
In the small architecture sector, it is used in the construction of gazebos, pergolas, garden shelters, and various types of wooden fencing. It performs excellently when fastening chipboard, plywood, and layered boards such as OSB or MDF.
Load capacity parameters and safety
The screw complies with the requirements of the European standard EN 14592:2008+A1 and holds the European Technical Assessment ETA-18/0817, confirming its admissibility for use in construction. For C24 class wood, the characteristic withdrawal load perpendicular to the grain is 17.07 N/mm², while parallel to the grain it is 10.14 N/mm².
The characteristic pull-through strength of the head reaches 24.36 N/mm², and the tensile strength is 19.78 kN. The torque is 28.68 Nm with a characteristic driving resistance of 7.81 Nm.
Drive system and ergonomics
The Torx TX-40 socket ensures secure torque transmission without the risk of the bit "camming out" during installation. This configuration enables working with high torque while maintaining full control over the driving process.
The individual package contains 50 pieces of screws with a total weight of 3.4 kg, which constitutes an optimal quantity for most construction projects of a single-family house or a small utility building.
