The Simon Connect SF170/14 floor box is a practical solution for mounting in the floor, providing access to electrical and multimedia sockets. Ideal for both installers and end-users, it offers configuration flexibility and an aesthetic appearance. Designed to work with K45 and CIMA modules, it allows you to create an access point tailored to individual needs.

Functionality and installation

The box is designed for mounting in the floor screed, and its rectangular shape makes it easy to integrate with various types of finishes. Adjustable depth (from 70 to 105 mm) allows for adaptation to the screed thickness and minimum floor finish height (5 mm). Perforated holes in the bottom facilitate the introduction of pipes and cables, and wide cable entries simplify the routing of cables from inside the box. Additionally, the cable gland lock protects the cables from accidental damage.

Safety and durability

Made of high-quality halogen-free plastic, the SF170/14 box ensures safe use – it does not emit toxic gases in the event of a fire. The material is self-extinguishing and resistant to high temperatures (+125°C), and also meets flammability standards (+850°C / 30 sec.). The box construction is characterized by high mechanical resistance (IK08) and a degree of protection of IP40 – protects against solid objects larger than 1 mm. Inside there is a protective foam that protects against dust and small objects.

Configuration and application

The SF170/14 box allows the installation of two K45 modules (e.g. electrical sockets or RJ45) and one CIMA module (e.g. multimedia connector). A metal separating partition provides electromagnetic protection for telecommunication and multimedia circuits. This makes the box ideal for offices, conference rooms, apartments and other commercial spaces where access to media is required in a discreet and aesthetic way. Screw mounting guarantees stable installation of the frame under the equipment. Graphite color (RAL 7021) blends perfectly with modern interior designs.
