The Simon 54 double rocker switch in matte silver is a professional solution for controlling two independent lighting circuits from a single mounting point. Equipped with two rockers, it enables precise management of multi-point light sources - particularly chandeliers divided into zones or sets of wall sconces in a room.

Functionality and practical application

The 2x1 single-pole configuration allows for four different lighting states: all light sources on or off, or independent control of each group separately. This functionality generates real energy savings - lighting intensity can be adjusted to current needs without wasting energy.

The most common application is chandeliers with a larger number of light points, where one rocker can control, for example, outer bulbs, and the second controls inner light sources. It also works well for controlling several wall sconces or spotlights in a single room.

The rocker mechanism guarantees intuitive operation and long-term reliability at a load of 10AX and a voltage of 250V, ensuring compatibility with typical lighting circuits in residential and office buildings.

High-quality construction and materials

The body is made of halogen-free PC thermoplastic, which ensures resistance to environmental conditions and safety of use. The surface is protected by lacquering, and the matte finish eliminates unwanted light reflections.

The compact design features a mounting depth of only 26mm, leaving more space in the installation box for other elements. The external dimensions are the standard 75×75mm, which facilitates compatibility with multi-gang frames.

The mounting system based on claws and screws ensures stable installation. The metal mounting frame equipped with leveling brackets allows for precise positioning of the mechanism even with imperfections in the installation boxes.

Installation and system compatibility

The applied self-clamping quick connectors significantly accelerate the installation process - wires do not require bending or special preparation of the ends. The indentation on the body indicates the optimal wire stripping length, which eliminates installation errors.

The switch belongs to the Simon 54 Premium series, which is compatible only with elements from the same product line. Frames are available in two versions: Premium (plastic and metal) and Nature (glass, wood, concrete), allowing the aesthetics to be matched to any interior.

The standard IP20 protection rating can be extended to IP44 class thanks to additional frame gaskets. This solution also works well in rooms with increased humidity when properly sealed.

The versatility of the frames allows for both vertical and horizontal mounting, and special holes even allow for installation directly onto wooden surfaces without the use of installation boxes.
