This double staircase switch from the Basic series by Simon is a practical solution for controlling lighting from two locations. It is ideal for hallways, stairs or larger rooms where convenience and functionality are needed. Flush-mounting ensures an aesthetic appearance and discreet integration into the interior design.

Construction and installation

The switch is designed for flush-mounting, which requires preparing an appropriate installation box. It uses screw terminals to connect the wires, which guarantees a secure and durable connection. Projections on the metal bridge facilitate maintaining vertical or horizontal alignment during the installation of multiple sets, as well as stable mounting of the modules in frames. The mounting depth of 31 mm allows it to be adapted to standard installation boxes.

Application and user features

The double staircase switch allows convenient switching on and off of the lighting from two different points, which increases user comfort. Characteristic C allows it to react more slowly to short voltage surges, therefore it tolerates starting devices with a motor well. The switching current for fluorescent lamps is 10 AX, which ensures compatibility with various types of lighting. The surface finish is glossy, and the beige color matches many interior designs. Made of PC plastic (halogen-free) ensures safe use and minimizes the emission of harmful substances in the event of a fire.

The Basic series offers a wide selection of frames in various colors and materials (white, beige, stainless steel, satin, metallic and neos), which allows you to adapt the switch to individual preferences and interior style. The possibility of using a frame gasket increases resistance to moisture (IP44 class). The Basic Module K45 adapter allows mounting in frames of the 45 x 45 mm standard, expanding the possibilities of configuring the electrical installation.
