The BMZAP10/1.01/11 RTV pass-through socket is an advanced antenna module from the Simon Basic series, designed for use in television and radio systems. The pass-through model enables signal distribution to subsequent devices in the antenna network, serving as a key component of cable, satellite, and radio TV systems.

Technical parameters and construction

The device operates in the frequency range of 5-862 MHz, ensuring full compatibility with modern digital and analog television systems. The input attenuation is 10 dB for the 860 MHz frequency, while the pass-through attenuation is only 1.5 dB, guaranteeing minimal signal loss during distribution.

The module is made of high-quality halogen-free PC plastic in white (RAL 9003) with a glossy surface finish. The device dimensions are 75 × 75 × 39 mm with a mounting depth of 30 mm, making it a compact solution for installation.

Safety and functionality

The socket features a secure design that prevents the insertion of objects other than a standard antenna plug. The live parts shroud minimizes the risk of electric shock even after the socket cover is removed. The dual-output system allows for the simultaneous connection of a television and radio receiver or the splitting of the signal to different rooms.

The IP20 protection rating provides basic protection against contact with live parts and access to solid objects larger than 12 mm.

Installation and compatibility

Installation is carried out using the flush-mounted method via claws or screws. The metal frame mounting presses it against the wall, hiding installation imperfections of the mounting boxes and ensuring quick and secure mounting.

Tabs/lugs based on a metal bridge help maintain the vertical or horizontal alignment of multi-gang sets and facilitate the mounting of modules in multi-gang frames. The Basic Module K45 Adapter enables mounting in Basic Module series frames of the 45 × 45 mm standard, allowing for the creation of comprehensive socket sets with up to 10 sockets in a single five-gang frame.

The model is compatible with telecommunications equipment from leading structural cabling manufacturers and Simon Connect multimedia elements.
