Universal rotary dimmer for modern installations

The BMS9T.01/11 Basic rotary dimmer white module is a practical solution for precise lighting control in residential and office installations. Finished in a universal white color (RAL 9003), it perfectly complements the aesthetics of contemporary interiors while offering high functionality and reliability.

Construction and materials

The device is made of high-quality halogen-free PC plastic, which guarantees resistance to mechanical damage and long-term use without loss of properties. The high-gloss finish not only looks elegant but also makes cleaning easy. The device dimensions are 75 × 75 × 46 mm, with an installation depth of 25 mm, making it a compact solution for flush mounting.

The metal frame mounting bracket presses the construction against the wall, effectively masking any installation imperfections of the junction boxes and ensuring quick and secure installation. The protrusions of the metal bridge help maintain the vertical or horizontal alignment of multi-gang sets and facilitate the mounting of modules in multi-gang frames.

Operating parameters and light source compatibility

The dimmer operates at a rated voltage of 230 V and a frequency of 50 Hz, supporting a load of up to 500 VA. The connection type is implemented via solid screw terminals, ensuring a secure and durable wire connection.

The device is compatible with a wide range of traditional light sources:

• 230V incandescent bulbs,
• 230V halogen bulbs,
• 12V halogen bulbs (with an electronic or toroidal transformer).

It is not intended for use with LED sources, compact or linear fluorescent lamps, or devices with electric motors.

Functionality and user safety

The operating mechanism based on a knob/button allows for intuitive light intensity adjustment with one hand. The brightness level memory function automatically restores the last set lighting level after switching back on, increasing daily user comfort.

The dimmer can be used either as a standalone component or in a set with a standard switch (for the on/off function). The IP20 protection rating provides basic protection against finger contact and access to hazardous parts.

The universal design of the Simon Basic series allows for easy, quick, and secure installation in both single frames and multi-gang sets arranged vertically or horizontally. The Basic Module K45 adapter allows mounting in 45 × 45 mm standard frames, expanding the possibilities for integration with Simon Connect multimedia systems and telecommunications elements from leading structural cabling manufacturers.
