The DW1L.01/48 single-pole switch with LED backlight is a component of the Simon 54 series in anthracite, combining lighting control functionality with a practical status indicator. The product belongs to the bistable switch group – after pressing the rocker, it remains in the set position without automatically returning, ensuring full control over the lighting circuit.

Functionality and mechanism design

The mechanism is equipped with a rocker switch and a blue LED backlight, which serves an orientation function and signals the circuit's connection status. The backlight is directly integrated into the mechanism as a replaceable LED, facilitating potential servicing without the need to replace the entire device.

The wiring layout is based on the principle of interrupting the phase conductor – the product has one input and one output, through which the electrical installation's current-carrying wire is routed. The mechanism operates as a 1-pole switch, enabling control of a single lighting circuit or another electrical device.

Technical parameters and compatibility

The device operates at a rated voltage of 250V and a fluorescent current of 10AX, making it suitable for most standard lighting installations in residential and office buildings. The installation depth is only 26mm, leaving more space in the junction box for other elements of a multi-gang set.

The connection type features quick-connect terminals (self-clamping terminals), which allow for fast and secure installation without the need for screw tools. This type of connection ensures stable electrical contact while maintaining installation simplicity – simply insert the stripped wire into the appropriate hole until it stops.

Installation and configuration options

The mounting method is flush-mounted – the standard installation method for electrical fittings mounted in walls. The product can be installed individually or combined with other Simon 54 series elements in multi-gang frames (single, double, triple, quadruple, or quintuple).

Standardly, the product provides IP20 protection, but thanks to a special frame gasket, IP44 splash-proof protection can be achieved. This extended protection is particularly important in rooms with increased humidity – such as bathrooms, basements, or garages – where devices are exposed to moisture and the risk of contact with water.

The construction is based on halogen-free PC plastic with a matte finish and a metallic anthracite lacquered surface. The device dimensions are the standard 75×75×41mm, ensuring compatibility with most available mounting frames and an aesthetic appearance once installed.
