The Simon 54 telecommunications socket cover has been designed as a practical solution for modern network installations. The slanted design of the single module with a labeling field is ideal for telecommunications systems using Keystone modules, providing an aesthetic finish and functionality for both professional installers and end users.

High-quality construction and materials

The cover is made of advanced thermoplastic with enhancing and anti-static additives, which guarantees color durability and resistance to operating conditions. The matte silver lacquered surface (RAL 1013) provides an elegant look suitable for modern office and residential interiors.

The central protective plate, set at an angle to the frame, allows for precise routing of network cables, reducing wire tension at the RJ45 socket or other Keystone modules. The small module dimensions (1 slot) leave more space in the installation box for additional wires.

Mounting system adapted to diverse conditions

The mounting mechanism utilizes claws and screws, enabling stable fastening both in standard installation boxes and directly to wooden surfaces through specially prepared mounting holes. Base protrusions help maintain perfect vertical or horizontal alignment in multi-gang sets.

The metal fastening presses the frame against the mounting bridge, hiding installation imperfections of the mounting boxes, while the new mounting bridge allows for precise mechanism positioning thanks to level-adjusting brackets. Flush mounting is also possible without the use of boxes, thanks to special holes that allow the mounting bridge to be screwed directly to the substrate.

Regulatory compliance and system compatibility

The product meets the requirements of European standards (CN 85472000) and is primarily intended for IBM data links and other telecommunications applications. The IP20 protection rating can be extended to IP44 by adding a dedicated gasket (available separately), making the cover suitable for humid environments as well.

Universal multi-gang frames are compatible with both vertical and horizontal configurations of Simon 54 multi-gang sets. Special frames dedicated to plasterboard boxes ensure perfect fit of the accessories to the wall, even on uneven surfaces.

The indentation on the body defines the optimal wire stripping length, and the live rails shield minimizes the risk of electric shock even after removing the socket cover. Protected clips and a rounded body without sharp edges ensure safety during installation and operation.
