The ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110 CY cable is a professional solution for control and power installations in industrial environments where protection against electromagnetic interference is crucial. Thanks to its shielded construction and high-quality materials, it ensures reliable signal transmission in applications with medium mechanical load.

Construction and materials ensuring reliability

The cable construction is based on fine copper electrolytic wire strands class 5 (flexible), which guarantees flexibility while maintaining high electrical conductivity. Core insulation made of PVC LAPP P8/1 in black with white numbering (according to VDE 0293-1) allows for easy identification during installation and service.

Tinned copper wire braid provides effective electromagnetic protection with a high degree of coverage and low coupling impedance (max 250 Ω/km at 30 MHz). The outer sheath made of transparent PVC provides resistance to most chemical compounds and conditional resistance to oils.

Geometric parameters include an outer diameter of 7.9 mm with a mass of 100 kg/km, which translates to space savings in installations. The minimum bending radius is 47.4 mm for fixed installations and 158 mm for mobile applications.

Operating parameters and operational safety

The cable operates in a voltage range of 300/500V (U₀/U) with a high level of safety due to a test voltage of 4000V. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +80°C after installation (without vibration), and -5°C to +70°C during installation.

The reaction to fire class according to EN 13501-6 is Eca, and the cable exhibits self-extinguishing properties according to IEC 60332-1-2. The construction is resistant to low temperatures according to EN 60811-504+505+506, which expands application possibilities in harsh environmental conditions.

Areas of application and special regulatory requirements

The cable finds wide application in manufacturing plants, industrial machinery, and ventilation and air conditioning installations. It is particularly recommended for conveying devices such as conveyor belts and environments sensitive to electromagnetic interference.

Special properties include good chemical resistance to acids and bases. The product has VDE 7030 approval for versions up to 65 cores and meets the requirements of the European CPR directive (EU Regulation No 305/2011). The CE certificate confirms compliance with European Union directives regarding the safety of electrical products.
