Construction and application

The LiYCY cable is characterized by a construction based on seven copper cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², insulated with PVC. These cores are twisted into a bundle surrounded by a copper braided shield, which effectively protects against interference. The whole is covered with an outer PVC jacket, providing resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. This makes the cable perfect for applications requiring flexibility and reliable connections.

The UNITRONIC LiYCY 7x0.5 cable has been designed for demanding applications. Its outer diameter is approximately 7.6 mm, which facilitates routing in existing installations. The permissible bending radius (45.6 mm for fixed installations and 114 mm for moving installations) allows for flexible adaptation to the geometry of the device or machine. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C after installation and from -5°C to +70°C during installation. The rated voltage U is 50V. The gray jacket color makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation. Core identification is done by colors, which facilitates the installation and servicing of electrical installations.
