Marina polyester enclosure IP66 IK10

The Marina polyester enclosure with dimensions 500 × 400 × 200 mm provides effective protection for electrical and electronic components. Made of glass-fiber reinforced polyester, it ensures high resistance to corrosion as well as to climatic factors and corrosive environments.

Construction and protection parameters

The enclosure body is made of RAL 7035 polyester with a thickness of 2.5 mm, while the door with a thickness of 2.8 mm provides additional mechanical strength. The design meets the highest protection standards - the IP66 rating guarantees complete protection against dust and protection against water jets similar to sea waves. The IK10 mechanical impact resistance (20 joules) protects against damage from intense impacts.

The enclosure has insulation class II, which allows for the creation of fully insulated sets in accordance with IEC EN 60439-1 standards and photovoltaic applications according to UTE C15-712-1. The insulation voltage is 1000V (test voltage: 5250V), and the material is self-extinguishing at a temperature of 960°C according to EN/IEC 60695-2-11.

Functionality and equipment

The single-door is reversible with a 180° opening, equipped with two double-bit locks with the possibility of replacing the cylinder. The internal usable space with dimensions 400 × 280 × 178 mm allows for direct mounting of devices on the back wall and the installation of full-type, Lina 12.5, or Lina 25 mounting plates. Adjustment of the depth of the mounted equipment is available via kit no. ref. 036242.

The enclosure is adapted for operation in temperatures from -40°C to +85°C (+100°C peak), with additional VERITAS certificates confirming resistance to salt spray (1500 hours according to ISO 9227) and sulfur dioxide exposure (500 hours). The material contains a high LOI oxygen index of 22% and is halogen-free.

Application and compatibility

The design intended for surface mounting works particularly well in corrosive environments thanks to VERITAS certificates confirming resistance to salt spray and sulfur dioxide. The enclosure is compatible with the full range of Atlantic/Marina accessories: various types of mounting plates, LINA25 profiles, internal doors, plinths, canopies, and cable management systems.

The possibility of horizontal and vertical connection of enclosures using kit no. ref. 036244 allows for the creation of multi-module configurations that maintain IP66 parameters and class II. The maximum static load is 500 kg/m³, and the door load must not exceed 2.5 kg per 100 mm of height.
