S 302 Miniature Circuit Breaker TX3 series

The two-pole design provides protection for single-phase circuits in AC systems with voltages up to 400V, making it suitable for typical 230/400V single-phase installations found in residential and commercial buildings.

The C time-current characteristic guarantees optimal protection for circuits with loads having moderate inrush currents, such as LED lighting, electronic equipment, or small motors. The rated current of 25A allows for the safe powering of typical socket and lighting circuits in buildings.

Technical parameters and performance

The device features a high breaking capacity of 10 kA at 230V and 6 kA at 400V, ensuring effective protection even in the event of serious installation faults. The energy limiting class 3 guarantees minimization of the effects of short-circuit current flow.

An insulation voltage of 500V and an impulse withstand voltage of 4 kV ensure safe operation in industrial conditions. The IP20 protection rating protects against contact with live parts and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.

The two-pole design includes 2 protected poles, ensuring full protection symmetry in single-phase installations. The device width is a standard 2 modules (35.4 mm), and the mounting depth is only 44 mm, facilitating installation even in shallow distribution boards.

Construction and compatibility

The circuit breaker is mounted on a standard TH35 DIN rail using a special clip that allows for the independent removal of the MCB while keeping the busbar in place. The design of the lower latch and terminal cover significantly simplifies the installation and wiring of the device.

The device is compatible with both prong-type and fork-type comb busbars, providing flexibility in distribution board design. The possibility of top or bottom power supply further facilitates installation in various distribution board configurations.

The TX3 series offers a rich ecosystem of accessories - the option to equip it with auxiliary and signaling contacts allows for integration with installation status monitoring systems. Undervoltage releases enable automatic disconnection when the voltage drops below the permissible value.

The product meets the requirements of the EN/IEC 60898-1 and IEC/EN 60947-2 standards for miniature circuit breakers, confirming its high quality and safety of use. The operating frequency range of 50-60 Hz covers standard European power systems.

The pollution degree 2 allows for operation in light industrial and residential environments. A storage temperature from -40°C to +70°C ensures parameter stability even in difficult storage conditions.

A mechanical endurance of 20 000 operations and an electrical endurance of 4 000 operations allow for many years of device operation under normal switching cycles typical for domestic or office installations, where the average number of operations does not exceed a few hundred per year. A minimum operating voltage of 12V AC also enables use in low-voltage control and measurement systems.
