Reliable protection of electrical installations – Legrand S 314 TX³ circuit breaker
This four-pole circuit breaker from the S 314 TX³ series is a key element of every safe and reliable electrical installation. Designed to protect against the effects of overloads and short circuits, it provides peace of mind for both professional installers and end users. It is characterized by a high short-circuit breaking capacity, reaching 10 kA at 400 V and 16 kA at 230 V, which guarantees a quick and effective response in emergency situations.
Design and operating parameters
The S 314 TX³ circuit breaker has been designed for easy installation and convenient wiring. The lower latch and terminal covers significantly simplify the installation process. Compact dimensions – only 4 modules wide (44 mm deep) – allow for efficient use of space in the distribution board. Designed for mounting on a TH35 rail, it meets safety standards and is intended for operation in installations with a rated voltage of 400 V AC and a frequency of 50-60 Hz. Energy limitation class 3 provides additional safety in the event of an electric arc.
C characteristic and application
Equipped with a C characteristic, this circuit breaker is ideal for circuits with devices generating inrush currents during start-up, such as motors or transformers. This allows to avoid unnecessary tripping of the installation during normal operation of these devices, while ensuring effective protection against overloads and short circuits. The rated current of 40 A makes it suitable for protecting circuits with higher power consumption. Additionally, the ability to disconnect the N pole simultaneously with the others increases safety. Protection degree IP20 provides protection against accidental contact.
