Modular contactor for a wide range of applications

The SM 425 modular contactor is a reliable device designed to control various electrical loads, such as heating, lighting, and pumps. Its compact design – only 1 module wide – makes it easy to install in distribution boards, saving valuable space. Thanks to two normally closed contacts (2NC), it provides flexibility in circuit configuration.

Functionality and technical parameters

The device operates at 230V AC and a rated current of 25A, making it suitable for standard electrical installations. The rated operating voltage is in the range of 250-250V, and the control voltage is 195-253V AC. The contactor has a manual control slider, which facilitates testing and servicing. The IP2X degree of protection provides basic protection against touch and ingress of solid objects.

• High switching capacity: The maximum switching capacity for incandescent bulbs is 3000W, for fluorescent lamps 2100VA (up to 2200VA with DUO compensation and 1000VA with parallel compensation), allowing control of various types of loads.
• Compatibility with EMS CX3 system: The contactor is compatible with the Legrand EMS CX3 energy management system, enabling integration with advanced building automation solutions.
• Mounting on TH35 rail: Mounting on a standard TH35 rail ensures quick and easy installation in the distribution board.

The embedding depth of the contactor is 44 mm, which should be considered when planning the installation. Additional equipment allows for expanding the functionality of the device, and the possibility of manual control facilitates diagnostics and testing of the circuit.
