Digital Output Module for Controllers – Reliable Actuator Control

This digital output module, equipped with 16 relays, expands the capabilities of compact controllers. It is designed for efficient control of various loads, both in industrial applications and building automation systems. Thanks to the use of relays, the module provides galvanic isolation between the controller and the controlled circuit, which increases safety and interference immunity.

Construction and Application

The XBE-RY16A module is designed to work with LS Electric XGB controllers, but can also be used with other control systems, provided they meet the requirements for voltage and current. It finds application in applications requiring reliable switching of loads of various power – from simple alarm signals to controlling motors and heaters. Thanks to two isolated common contacts (COM), it is possible to create independent control circuits. Screw terminals facilitate mounting and connection of wires.

Operating Parameters

The XBE-RY16A module is characterized by high reliability and long life. Relays provide up to 100,000 switching cycles at full load (200VAC / 1.5A or 240VAC / 1A). The response time for switching on is less than 10ms, and for switching off less than 12ms, which allows for fast and precise process control. It is also important to ensure adequate protection against overvoltage and minimum load voltage/current (5VDC / 1mA) for proper module operation. Wires should have a cross-section of 0.3 to 0.75 mm², and their outer diameter should not exceed 2.8 mm.
