Fast Counter Module for LS Electric XGB Controllers

This module, XBF-HO02A, is an advanced solution for precise pulse counting in LS Electric XGB compact controllers. Designed to work with XGB (XBM/XBC/XEC) series and XGT CPUs, it offers high performance and reliability in applications requiring fast and accurate frequency or position measurement. The module is equipped with connector connections – a cable and terminal are additionally required for proper operation.

Functionality and application

The XBF-HO02A module is designed to measure signals from encoders, proximity sensors or other pulse sources. Thanks to the possibility of configuring the operating mode (linear or cyclic counting) and the value comparison function, it finds application in a wide range of industrial applications, such as:

• Speed control: monitoring and regulation of the rotational speed of motors and other drives.
• Product counting: automatic counting of manufactured elements on a production line.

Technical characteristics and benefits

The XBF-HO02A module is characterized by a high signal processing speed – up to 200 kHz – which allows for accurate measurement even with very fast changes in the input state. It has two independent counter channels, allowing simultaneous measurement of two signals. Input signals can be of the Open Collector type (5/12/24V DC), which ensures compatibility with various types of sensors and encoders. Open Collector (Sink) type outputs allow easy control of external circuits.

Additional functions, such as the ability to set comparison threshold values and operating modes (Count Clear, Count Latch, Section Count), increase the flexibility of the module and allow it to be adapted to specific application requirements. Built-in diagnostic functions facilitate the identification of any problems with the operation of the module or connected devices. Thanks to this, the installer can quickly locate the fault and restore the system to proper operation, and the end user gains confidence in the reliable operation of the device.
