LS Electric S100 Series Drive – a reliable drive for automation
The LS Electric S100 series drive is an advanced solution for controlling electric motors, designed for a wide range of applications in industrial automation systems. The device combines a modern design, high quality workmanship and a rich set of functions, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users.
Design and capabilities
The S100 series is distinguished by its compact dimensions, allowing for “side by side” mounting – saving space in control cabinets is a significant advantage. It is available in two degrees of protection – IP20 and IP66 (up to 22kW) – allowing you to adapt the drive to specific environmental conditions. The built-in EMC filter category C3 and braking module minimize electromagnetic interference and ensure stable system operation. For powers of 30-75kW, a DC choke is used, improving the power factor and reducing THDI.
The drive offers a wide range of rated power – from 0.4kW to 75kW – and supports both constant and variable torque operation. The built-in CAN bus simplifies internal data exchange, and the advanced sensorless vector control algorithm provides precise control over the motor. Thanks to the possibility of sequential programming, the drive's operation can be easily adapted to individual application needs.
Communication and additional functions
LS Electric S100 is standardly equipped with a Modbus RTU interface, ensuring easy integration with control systems. Additionally, optional communication cards are available: Ethernet IP/Modbus TCP, Profibus-DP and CANopen, expanding the possibilities of connecting to various industrial networks. The STO safety input compliant with SIL2/EN60204-1 increases the safety of the system. The device has 7 programmable digital inputs (NPN/PNP), 2 analog inputs and relay and open collector outputs. The ability to work with an output frequency of up to 400Hz (with the possibility of extension to 1000Hz) allows for controlling motors with different parameters. The dual rating function allows operation with motors of different powers depending on the type of load.
