Overcurrent circuit breaker BKJ63Nd is an element used to protect electrical installations from the effects of overloads and short circuits. This model, with a rated current of 32A and characteristic D, is used in circuits requiring greater resistance to short-term current surges, such as circuits powering devices with motors or transformers. The three-pole (3P) design provides comprehensive protection in three-phase systems.
Characteristics and application
BKJ63Nd series circuit breakers are characterized by high reliability and long service life, confirmed by 10,000 electrical operating cycles and 20,000 mechanical cycles. A wide range of rated currents (from 1A to 63A) allows the circuit breaker to be adapted to the specific needs of the installation. Characteristic D means a delayed response to current increase, which is particularly important in the case of loads with high inrush current – this allows to avoid unnecessary tripping of the circuit breaker during device start-up. The possibility of mounting on a 35mm DIN rail facilitates and speeds up installation.
Construction and mounting
The BKJ63Nd circuit breaker has universal terminals, allowing connection of both cables with lug terminals and direct screw terminals, providing flexibility during installation. The width of the circuit breaker is 17.8mm per pole, which allows for efficient use of space in the switchboard. The terminals allow connection of cables with a cross-section of up to 25mm². The design of the circuit breaker provides a degree of protection of IP20, which means protection against touching with fingers and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5mm. These circuit breakers meet the requirements of IEC 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2 standards, guaranteeing safety and compliance with applicable regulations. Suitable for operation in ambient temperature from -5°C to +40°C.
